I think we’ve had less than 10 customers since last week.

Hows the Volvo?

A patient is visiting you with the following symptoms:
dark urine, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, yellowing skin, weakness.
After conducting a few tests you find out that: he has a lower RBC count, and his RBC look abnormal. He mentions that about 6 months ago he had similar, but milder symptoms. The symptoms, however, had disappeared after he was treated for a severe asthma attack. Note: asthma is an autoimmune disease that in severe cases is treated with corticosteroids.
What is your
hypothesis?
How do you test
your hypothesis?

Is it snowing in Burnaby? Just planning for the commute lol.
Alternate non-lame question: If you got $5000.00 (CAD), with the only caveat being it had to be spent on cars, what would you do with it?

Trade that one in for a new one with a warranty, hope the dealer doesn’t notice.

What do you do?

This is one question on a final project for a Biochem course that a friend of a family member is taking. But, it seems more like a mashup of Biochem and Physiology and at a level I wouldn’t have expected for a junior college course. She just emailed it to me, and I’ve hardly looked at it yet.

The Volvo is still dormant. I’m gonna go check on it next week, I have’t even seen it since July. It just needs more money thrown at it than I can afford right now.

I had Indian for lunch and my manager is out on vacation. I’m useless

I work at a prop/set dec rental warehouse. The film industry all but shuts down around christmas, so there’s not much to do.

It is indeed. Just starting to stick down here off Winston, and apparently it’s really sticking in North Burnaby. North Van is already totally covered.

Uhh I’d like to use one of my lifelines

My manager is likewise not in today, although the owner is here.

Yeah no shows for me! I’m off, but my M37 Dodge is not here yet :(... so no toys for me....

Actually, a blocked bile duct, hence the helpful steroids.

Yeah, I work in coal harbour downtown by the Convention Centre, its really snowing here. Sticking too

Oh, and I would buy a Weber for the Raider, and a mild engine rebuild for the Volvo, as well as either a new Weber for it/rebuild the current one. If there was any left over, which I doubt there would be, I’d start doing the other things the Volvo needs.

You had me at Pajero/Montero/shogun/Raider

I’ll have next week off, thankfully.

I’m thinking of getting smooth steelies like that for mine, maybe. I do like the stock wheels though.

What are your 3 cars?
Would you rather have that Trooper, a Raider, or a Jimny?

You’re into vintage audio stuff right? You think this is worth the asking price. Idk much about them, they just caught my eye.

The Raider, and I have one already. The other two are a 2006 Legacy wagon and a 1969 Volvo 144S
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:35 |
|
I went with wagon wheels, much wider than stock though, so fender flares are mandatory
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:36 |

I am indeed, but I don’t know old Pioneer gear at all. I would poke around on Audiokarma and see what people say, that’s where I usually look for info.

That sounds like a cool place to work.
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:37 |

What size wheels/tires? I’m thinking I’ll just do 31 x 10.5s, and the pomegranates are wide enough for that.

It’s pretty intensely busy a lot of the time, but it’s definitely interesting, and almost all my coworkers are excellent.

Hypothesis: I’m not a Medical Doctor.
How do you test your hypothesis:
*Goes to drawer, pulls out CV*
*Reads:*
Previous experience:
1. writer for a Mexican tech site (3 months)
2. 120 hours of social service (6 months)
3. Car washer (4 weeks)
4. Plays around with AutoCAD: knows not what he does (3 years)
*Realizes he is not a Medical Doctor*
*Takes person to an actual hospital*
*Realizes hospitals are very expensive in the US*
*Smuggles patient across the Canadian border*
*Becomes friends with the Maple Syrup mobsters and gets patient fake Canadian ID*
*Takes patient to Canadian Hospital*
*Returns to workplace*
*When the crimes are past statute writes a novel called The Great Escape to The Great White North: A Story of Maple Syrup, Cheap Medication, possible charges of racketeering and Tim Hourtons*
*Profits*

What’s the weirdest prop you have ever seen? How about the largest prop? Have you recognized anything in a movie that you had to handle?
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:49 |

If you could invite any person to dinner, living or dead, what would you serve?
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:53 |
|
I actually can’t say, I had to sign a NDA to work here that means I can only speak about the props in vague terms, because spoilers I guess?
As for recognizing stuff, it happens quite often. Usually TV shows, I haven’t seen a lot of movies lately. I can’t say which shows, but lots that are on netflix. It only gets really distracting when like a whole set is all or mostly our stuff.
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:55 |

Ha. Do I get to order it, or do I have to make it?
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:55 |

You’re cooking.
![]() 12/19/2017 at 14:58 |

Baked mac and cheese, with old cheddar, and bits of bacon. I’m terrible at cooking, that’s the only dinner I can make. Luckily I’m not usually the one cooking.

I’m gonna just agree with shamoononon, it seems kidney and/or liver related
![]() 12/19/2017 at 15:26 |
|
That’s safe.
![]() 12/19/2017 at 15:56 |
|
31x10.5 is slightly larger than what I have. But tires poking out the wheel wells are pretty illegal here, hence the flares
![]() 12/19/2017 at 15:57 |
|
They’re allowed to poke out a little bit here I think, I think I should be okay based on pictures I’ve seen of 31s on the same wheels I have
![]() 12/19/2017 at 22:35 |
|
That’s still pretty neat. Is there a lot of prop reuse between different shows?
![]() 12/20/2017 at 00:24 |

Oh tons, often with stuff that you’d never even notice unless you were really involved. Sometimes with more specific stuff, but they usually source their own “hero pieces”, stuff that actually gets focused on
